Problem for Hitachi 50V500 50 in. HDTV-Ready LCD Television

Our 4 year old Hitachi tv fan has been very loud.

our 4 year old Hitachi tv fan has been very loud. It even turned off a couple times so we blew some air on it. It's still so loud that we need to turn our volume up. Can this be fixed?

I would hesitate the blame the noise on a fan. It could very well be the Color Wheel in the Optical Engine making the noise. If this is the case , the Optical Engine would have to be replaced. This is a very expensive repair and I recommend you call Hitachi to see if they could help you find a Service Repair Facility near you to verify the cause of the noise and maybe even help with repairs. Their Customer Service Number is 1800-HITACHI.
