I had the same issue. I took it to a friend of mine who is good with
computers hoping he might be able to fix it........and he
did....apparently the HOLD button was slid to the right locking all
functions...once he slid it to the left closest to the power button, it
worked fine. Imagine my embarrassment...I hope this is all that is
wrong with yours as well....if that doesn't held try the reset button near the usb plug in....
You can try the reset button on the bottom of the player, connect it to the computer and try the reset button again of the previous doesn't work. You can also try flashing the firmware of the player to see if that corrects the issue. Below is a link for the firmware. If that doesn't work I'd contact their service department and find out how to qualify for a warranty replacement.
