Ok so here is my update. I spoke with people at Target's Corp. customer services. I had to jump thru some hoops, if you want my opinion, I think there are legal things going on between Target and Venture Electronics, formerly known as Alco, the suppliers of Trutech. I was giving two numbers to try from a woman at Target, who was very nice and helpful, but unwilling to elaborate to much. When both numbers failed she sent a Venture tech an email on my behalf. Two days later I was contacted by a rep who all of my info. The long and short of it is that I am right now two weeks later watching my formerly broken tv. Venture paid for my shipping both ways and fixed the tv. The tech did admit that the capacitors are a problem but in some cases there have been other issues as well. The tech I worked with might get pissed at this but who cares. The tech number is (905) 477-7878 his name is David, and his ext. 5095. He is very helpful but you have to stay on top of him, I had to call every other day for a week to get the shipping tag so I send them my tv. Good luck to all hope everyone is able to have the success I have.

The larger voltage won't hurt anything; that's actually good, the caps should last longer. It could be a problem with the video circuits, I guess. Any component in the power supply could be the problem, not just the caps. Is anything brown or black from heat on the circuit board?

I have a 25 year old Ruud A/C. The outdoor fan isn't turning and I can hear the condensor humming. There are 2 capacitors in the the electronics box that the schematic says are running capacitors. ...

The 3 microferad capacitor goes to the fan motor. The bigger one goes to the compressor. If the capacitor is swollen or pregnant looking it is shorted and needs to be changed. If it has discharged oil it has shorted out. If you can't read the mfd (microferad) you can go by the rated tonnage of the air cond for rule of thumb.

2 ton condenser = 25mfd capacitor
3 ton condenser= 35 mfd capacitor
4 ton condenser= 45 mfd
5 ton = 55 mfd

again, this is rule of thumb but should get your unit running again.

It will not power up. Fuses are good and transformer is good

you may have a problem withe the power supply circuit. It is the first circuit that is found internally after the power chord if you would trace it from the power chord to the inside. IT may be a damaged capacitor or the entire circuit may have gone bad. Check for swollen capacitors or leaking ones or traces of burn. Damages may also not be visible.

NO POWER TO TV POWERSPEC TV MODEL V30DMBT TESTED POWER SOURCE AND TURNED POWER BUTTON OFF AND ON

The power supply circuit inside the tv may be bad. Normally a bad capacitor is the culprit. You may visually inspect the circuit (the first circuit connected to the power chord inside) for leaks or swollen capacitor. The entire power supply circuit may have gone bad. Test if there is power coming out of the circuit to verify.

The unit made a big pop sound and now it won't heat up

This could be 3 things depending on the model.

1. Internal fuse has blown
2. Capacitor within the microwave has blown
3. Magnatron coil has gone open circuit.

If it was a *really* big pop, then it's most likely to be the capacitor.

Do not open the machine unless you feel confident enough to discharge the main capacitor and ground it to the chassis before performing any work as it will hold a charge for a considerable time even after the device is turned off at the mains.

If the internal fuse has blown, then this can be replaced however it may indicate another problem with the HT power supply side of the circuit.

Have an AMANA PTC093A35AA unit electric heater which is driving me crazy! I've replaced the control board and the 250 mA 250 V fuse but it's still dead. When I first put a new fuse in the "fan only"...

I would change out capacitor in the event there is a short in it this would explain why certain functions are on or off. The capacitor sits in by the circuit board is round and is either silver or gray. Has several wires running into the top plug of the capacitor. Remember the way they are wired into the top of the capacitor so you can reinstall the same way. If that doesn't work you could have a short in the system that has disrupted you circuit board again. Have the circuit board checked at an electronics repair shop. They should be able to tell you if the board is bad or not without having to purchase another board.

Good luck hope this helped you some

Nad c350 no power at all

Solution if all fuses checked out OK and +/-40V are present on main PCB DC connector from power supply:
Check for +37V and -37V on small sub-power supply PCB - mounted vertically on the main power supply PCB. (next to ribbon cable connector is a layout with voltages.) If the +/-37V are missing check (replace) C501 (0.1uF) on the small power supply PCB for leakage, but also check (replace) R401 (2R2) and R402 (2R2) on the main power supply PCB. Both resistors are fuse-resistors and will have gone open circuit when C501 has gone leaky.
