Microtek ScanMaker 4800 Flatbed Scanner

Problem with Microtek Scanner

shared by 3 users

posted by Oakton on Dec 31, 2007

I'm installing an old Microtexk scanner (Scanmaker 5600) on a WinXP machine. I've downloaded and installed the latest software from Microtek. I've plugged in the scanner (USB) and it appears under "my computer", but when I launch the Scanmaker software I get two error messages:

1)Fail to read image! System error: 31, A device attached to the system is not functioning.

2) Microtek scanmaker 5600 error "Code: -1007, not enough memory for driver to work

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Paul
