The GE Electric Skillet Model 168948 only heats to appropriate temperature in the very center of the skillet. It seems that all of the other available cooking space is not hot enough to cook bacon, sandwiches, pancakes correctly. Either the center burns or the edges of the others not located in the center won't get done!
