Question about Washing Machines

Spin cycle The spin cycle is WAY TOO POWERFUL! It's like a jet airplane that's taking off. It has been leveled already but it still shimmy's right out the door! I have even put it on LOW spin cycle and it still does the same thing. It's like it has TOO much power.

We have ran it with just water and the spin cycle is still very powerful. Is there a way to adjust the speed of the spin cycle? We have leveled it as well, it sits very sturdy with no wobbling at all. When it goes through spin cycle it is so powerful that I stand there with my eyes as large a saucers because it sounds as if it's going to take off!

You have a mechanical issue that will likely require a service person. It is not 'powerful' is a shake caused by some kind of imbalance or broken off item.

This is usually a balance issue. Try to use the machine with only water in clothing and see if you get the same result. If so, the problem is in the're not loading the clothing evenly or putting in too much.

Whirlpool washer WTW6400SW very loud spin cycle, sounds like airplane taking off

Most likely it is the spin tube bearing worn. Reguires some know how and special tools. Requires a major dismantle of the machine and usally I did these repairs in the shop. Bearing will eventually sieze over use and time. Labor will probably exceed the value of the machine.

Shimmy really bad during spin cycles what can i do

hi rick. Check the level of your machine front to back and left to right. Level it if necessary. If the shimmy is still bad, your machine's shock absorbers may have to be replaced. If it has always had a bad shimmy cut a piece of heavy carpet and place it under the machine. Joe

When the machine gets to the spin cycle, it beeps....

When it beeps it will be showing an odd sequence of lights across the top row.take note of these as they will be a fault il tell you how to interpret them. you need to add together the lights that are on only.that will be your fault code.
Be careful.your pump may be on it's way out & if you keep trying to get the machine to drain the water you could damage the main board with the bad pump. code 37 is pump.

If you mean a jet aircraft, that is normal. Front loaders achieve amazing spin rates.

Loud noise on spin cycle

How did that answer get an 83% rating? It is absolutely useless. My washer has the exact same problem as described above.During the spin cycle it sounds like a jet engine. It kinda sounds like the belt hitting the drive wheel but may be bearings in the motor.
