My hp photosmart 3210 all in one printer scanner

my hp photosmart 3210 all in one printer scanner copier doesn't want to scan anymore. it's probably a corrupted file or screwed up port. i don't know. and i don't know how to fix it except for downloading the software which i don't have because i just moved and it's somewhere is all i can say. any help would be appreciated. thanks steve

it stopped scanning right after i pulled all my plugs to use a new surge protector
