I have the same problem. I lost the original sd card (512mb) and tried another sd card (1gb, 2gb) and the camera won't start - is there a memory limitation on the size of the sd card that the z50 will accept.

Casio ex-z50 wont switch on with memory card inserted

What type and size memory card? The EX-Z50 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Every time I take a picture it says card error even bought a new card

What type and size memory card? The EX-Z50 works with MMC and SD cards. While higher-capacity SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work.

Just got a casio elilim ex-z50 camera. Have never used a digital camera before. It says the memory is full. How do I clear the old pictures that are on it now?

If you mean the camera's internal memory (the one that works when no memory card is in the camera) is full, here's what to do. With no memory card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" (it may be called initialize) and follow the on-screen instructions. In the future, use a memory card and don't use the internal memory.

I'm looking for a driver for vista, can you please help? (camera casio Exilim EX-Z50 Digital)

You don't need a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.

Casio ex-z50 is not recognising the memory card .. I have tried a number of SD and Mulitmedia cards .. any firmware upgrade or any other solution to this problem ?

Right click on your start Icon and select Explore and see if it shows up
there when installed prior to rebooting your computer.
Also see if you can use the USB cable that came with your camera to connect
to your computer when the camera power is turned on.
ansd connect the camera with diffrent usb port or if you any other computer then connect with the second computer because it seems to be problem with usb port.

Same problem. My camera is 3 weeks old. I dropped it at a short distance onto a wooden floor and it immediately said my memory card was locked. I took the memory card out, it was not locked. I tried 4 different cards and they all say the same thing. If I take the memory card out, the camera runs fine on internal memory, but only holds about 8 pics. I've tried everything. Please help!!
