Question about Kenwood KDC-MP228 CD Player
From car i have graywire -red(ign)blu/yellow-yellow(12v)br-bl(grnd)then rd/bl-blu(ant)also pnk/blu?where does it go and then theres green, black and a brown wire and i have brown(park brake)orange(rev/light).i've blown 3fuses replaced them and started all over, disconnecting neg from batt.hooked everything back up and reset the radio but ican put a cd/dvd in the unit but i have to reset it over to eject and i'm getting no radio power,,please help.
This means that the power lead you connected the red and yellow to is a switched live and each time you turn off the ignition the power goes off and therefore resets. to fix this problem you need to connect the yellow to a permanent 12v supply that stays live when you turn off the ignition.

dark blue is the remote for the amp
light blue is the remote for a power ant. (or amp)
orange is for the light dimmer (when you turn your lights on it will not be so bright, optional)
black is ground
brown is if you have a button in your car for a cell phone it will mute it when pushed (optional)
red is power (acc power)
yellow is always on power(for the clock and presets)
the rca jacks are for the amp they should be used if using an amp (there wattages are preset for amps anyway)
hook up the rca's to your amps along with the dark or light blue wires and when you turn the stereo on the amp will come on everything else should be hooked up as stated above. Hope this helps.

sometimes, if you unplug the main radio harness out from the back of the radio-leave it unplugged for about a minute you can reset the electronics that are now locked up- after you plug the harness back in you shoud hear the cd mechanism moving- now press the eject button- if there is no mechanical problem the cd will eject. If it won't you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at (908)756-3544 if this helps you please give me a good rating

The fact that your speakers have only one wire, indicates that they are the old negative ground type. You will have to buy new speakers, or try and connect the negative wires of your speaker wires from the radio to the car body (chassis) and try that. Normally you will get a bit of static when you start your engine

the parking brake wire just needs to go to a ground other than the ground for the deck and the orange reverse light wire you shouldn't have to worry about it if you turn on the deck and you still can't watch movies try hook it up to the illumination wire.
