Transferring AVI Files to Blackberry Pearl

I'm trying to transfer some AVI video files to the data card on a BB Pearl. I can see the files but when I attempt to play it says "an error has occurred attempting to play media". Do I need to change the file format from AVI and if so, how do i do that?

My two-year old phone is a Blackberry Pearl. I recently purchased a new BB Curve 8520. I need help in the following areas: 1. Setting up the new phone 2. Transferring data, pics, addresses, etc from...

You will have to download blackberry manager from blackberry.com
You will have to do a backup of the old phone with that software
Then plug in your new phone and restore phone it should give you a option to restore all your old data.
Hope this helps

BB 8100 not recognizing micro sd.

THIS WILL MAKE YOU LOOSE ALL FILES!!!
(even password)
Take the memorycard out of the phone and,
put it in a computer.Use filesystem FAT-32
to reformat your memorycard.
Now the card will work again!
No password, No files will be left after a
complete reformat
This is your solution! Please vote!

How do i transfer stuff from blackberry curve into the memory card

Open your media manager. Push menu button and select "explore".

Navigate through your device memory until you find the file you want to transfer. Highlight the file, push the menu button and select "move".

Navigate back up the file tree by selecting "up" until you see the memory card folder. Select the memory card folder, and choose the option to "put file here".

Keep in mind, you can not load programs from your memory card. You can only put files there (music, documents, ebooks, etc).

Cant transfer data > 10Mb to nokia 5320 via datacable. suggs plz

Well I have this particular cell and I've no trouble transferring any type of file or data. I don't use the data cable, instead I use the memory card thru a SD card Reader . That's the easiest way for me. I downloaded movies into this phone it really is a sweet phone. Hope that helps.

Good Luck =)
