You may check the coils under the front of the refrig , to make sure they are clean of dust , lint , pet hair , etc . If the coils are not clean , it will raire the freezer temperature so many degrees , to where you will not be able to tell the difference , but warms enough (6 degrees or highter ) , to where the ice maker will not dump . Ice maker needs to be 5 degrees , to harvest ( dump ) . If clean , then "sea breeze" solution , would be the next step .

Most likely the thermostat # 27 in photo below is defective. It tells the ice maker to begin its cycle by sensing the water is frozen. It is a replacale part.
