Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T3 Digital Camera

DSC-T3 won't power up

Hi,

It's a few years that I have my DSC-T3 and it was working fine. On Christmas eve, I wanted to take some pictures of the kids, but the camera wouldn't power up. I put it back on the charger and the orange led lights up. I even bought a new battery, same thing. So, I think the power switch is defective or ???.

Is there any reset switch or bypass to boot the camera instead of the switch??? Am I in serious expensive repair cost if the problem is mechanical...

Thanks guys.

Hi Kimmi,
I went through this about 8 months ago with same Samsung model & apparently it was due to hard drive failure. It got slower & slower to boot or surf the net & finally just would not function. Before it totally failed keeping it in a warmer room sometimes helped. Good luck.

I have a Sony DSC-W50 Cybershot camera that won't take pictures or videos anymore. It powers up fine and the screen works, but when I hold down the shutter button all the way, it focuses and nothing more.
