Question about Brother IntelliFAX 4750 Plain Paper Laser Fax
No you're ok. This machine uses the DR 400 drum. What has probably happened is 1 of 2 things. Either the charge corona wire is dirty or at worst is broken and missing. You can't see the wire itself as it's too fine. What you can see is the cleaning felt which is attached to a blue plastic slider located on the underside of the drum unit. Remove the drum and toner from the machine, locate the corona wire cleaner and slide it across the machine 2 or 3 times, remembering to re-locate in it's starting position afterward. Now if this doesn't work. Then I'm afraid you will have to replace the drum.
