Bosch SHV430 Dishwasher low water pressure to jets

A friend has a dishwasher that they want me to look at for a water pressure problem. They say that the motor or pump is making a strange noise and that the dishes aren't fully wetting. About a month ago they had an expensive whole house water filtration system installed. I am thinking that when the whole house filter was installed some contaminants became loose and were deposited in the supply screen to the dishwasher. I expect that the machine will have to be pulled to get to the hoses to clean or replace the screen(s). If so how is this done?

Although I previously posted with the same problem of a film on the dishes after cleaning, I did find a section in the owner's manual which solved my problem. Lift up the rinse aid cap on the inside door - the factory setting is on "4". The rinse aid works in conjunction with your local water, which has variations in it's hardness or softness. When your dishes are streaky, lower the rinse aid setting to 1 or 2. If your dishes are spotted, raise the rinse aid setting higher.

SOURCE: Loud humming noise when dishwasher is filling up with water

your model is pretty new. just so you know your warrenty is 1 year parts and labor. 2 years on parts. it should not cost that much money.

there are two components that start before the circulation pump.(wash noise you hear)

first sounds you hear will be the drain pump. usually rattling noises if something is in it but it can make a hum noise if something is jamming the drain propeller up. which is accessible with a T20 torx driver. take the filters out and the mesh filter. and unscrew the screw in the base towards the left. pull out whatever is lodged.

the other humming sound can come from the next component that activates is the watervalve. make sure you dont have a kinked water intake line. otherwise its a bad valve. i have had to change a few of those water valves out already but not for a hum noise on your model. you have a new style water valve. when brands make new parts we get problems fast sometimes..

Bosch dishwasher working for 2 minutes and saying check water and coming up e14

Possible that the inlet flow of water is low and so there is time taken to fill up . So check the pressure at the inlet. Also if the water level pressure sensor is faulty then the program will be halted as the water level is not indicated.
Please check the sensor.

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.

If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Hope this helps... My one month old Bosch dishwasher Model SHE6AF06UC has and error code E-01. It was there when I came home. Can't find anything on this.

think this means that your water pressure is not high enough for rinsing to be completed 100%. do you have low water pressure.

My bosch dishwasher isn't cleaning the dishes lately

Thanks for using FixYa. First of all please check the Water temperature by using a thermometer inside the dishwasher to measure the water temp. It should be as close to 125 degree F to 140 degree F as possible. Now try using the temperature boost feature if your dishwasher is equipped with this cycle feature and check if this will help your wash ability issues.

Now check the Powder soap by making sure that you store your soap in a dry environment and it is not stale and clumping together. Possibly try a different detergent like a liquid or gel. Also, make sure the dishes are loaded properly, or dishwasher is not overloaded.

To check the proper filling dishwasher will fill with water up to and around the heating element. If water is more below the heating element, you may have low water pressure or a problem with the fill valve. Try & listen if it sounds like it is spraying the water around with enough pressure.

For low water pressure, try to clean the screen at the entrance of the fill valve, sometimes the fill valve can fail and not allow the proper water into the dishwasher and may need to be replaced. And, check the spray arm and pump cover for splits or leaks. Also make sure that the water is draining and is not accumulated in the dishwasher, if it is in dishwasher then check for clogged drain hoses and drain pump.

Low water fills are a very common trouble maker with today's dishwasher.

Please do rate this solution and revert for further assistance.

Bosch Dishwasher with very little water pressure or power

It all stems back to your incomming water supply. Either the sieve is dirt or the valve is blocked with sedementation. Some valves are servicable and some are not,if your valve has screws then its revicable. (low water pressure restricts movement on arms.)

It helps you find the model number, which is essential to finding your replacement part.

The site also has links to help you replace the part.

Important: cleaning out the gunk in the bottom (under the screen) is essential to sufficient pressure to wash dishes.
