Can't send or receive text messages

It is likely that the phone has 'dropped off the network' or your message centre number has been accidentally changed.

The phone periodically sends a signal to the network to keep the network updated with its location. That way, when a call or text is made to your phone, the network knows which CELL to send the signal to (the last CELL place the phone was found in). If the network has not received a signal from the phone saying it is being turned off or has not managed to keep the network updated, the network will not deliver a text although this should not affect sending texts (in theory).
To get it working again, there are a few things to try:
1. Remove the battery without turning the phone off, remove the SIM and power up the phone. When the phone has started, turn it off, re-insert the SIM and start the phone.
2. Go into Network Settings and manually try to connect to another network and when it fails, set it back to automatic.
3. Temporarily put your SIM into another phone for a minute (you could get lots of texts coming in so read them before you put the SIM back into your phone.

Some e-mails go out and Mountain Cable sends some back saying for us to "plain text". Idon't know what they mean.

When you send your mail, it is send in two different formats according to the setting in the options. They are either HTML, Plain text or Rich text. I assume that you may be using outlook express or MS outook.
Yours seems to be sending mail in HTML. Though this is a better way, some companies/persons do not accept mail in HTML format. There a several reasons, most common being security. In such cases you may have to send that particular mail in Plain text format.
For Outlook:
1. click tools
2. click options
3. click mail options tab
You will see the mail sending format as HTML
There will be an arrow button, which when clicked gives you a few options, like HTML, Rich Text and Plain text.
4.Click on plain text.
5. click OK

For outlook express.
1. Click Tools
2. click Options
3. Click send tab
4. Change the Mail sending radio button to Plain text.
Newer version of some Third party mail programs gives you an option of send in HTML and Pain Text. If you have that option, select it. Makes things a whole lot easier.

I can't send a text because my "radio" is off. How do I turn it on? I can't figure it out..ugh!

theres an icon that looks like an antenna called connections. click it and turn your network back on........but remember that the blackberry will turn the radio off when the battery gets too low but the device will still be on, just without the ability to call or txt.
so make sure you have a decent charge, click on the icon and select the voice network to turn it on.

GOOD LUCK AND PLS RATE THIS POST!!!! :D
