Question about Panasonic KX-FPG377 Plain Paper Thermal transfer Fax

1 Answer

Poor print quality

We are getting poor print quality when receiving faxes on our new panasonic kx-fp145 thermal transfer fax. The type is barely legible. We can copy pages with no problem, and outgoing faxes are OK as well. Appreciate any help. Could it be a setting on the fax itself?

My Panasonic Fax machine KX FHD331 is not receiving faxes ( it is on automatic) however, it is saying "memory full" and I cannot print what is in memory.

Make sure there is no additional error messages on the screen - they usually show in a sequence one after another - maybe paper not loaded correctly,or machine is jammed or out of thermal film.

Probably a fault with the thermal print strip. or the print strip may just be dirty, in which case you could clean it with a cloth and some alcohol.

How Can I Reprint a Fax?

Here's a trick that I used on the Canon thermal transfer years ago. First take out the thermal transfer unit and roll up the black transfer sheet to the begining of the lost fax. Then reload the paper. Next get a solid black original equal and make a copy. The result you should get a negative copy of the lost fax. Repeat this step until all the faxes are recovered..
