When you burn the c.d. make sure the burner has it on the correct settings. The "blank" c.d.s you are playing will play on a computer but nothing else. If you change the recording settings so that it isn't for cpu only you will be good to go!
Disconnect Negative Battery cable and leave off overnight or longer if possible. You may need to make sure you have your radio/dvd player code before you do this since it does have a theft alarm code feature.
I don't think j-Link cable capable of video, at least not with the first generation Ipod Ready Units anyway. Check with your local stereo shop if there is a way to they should know. Please keep me update. Thank you.
Found out what my problem was - 2 DVDs were in the unit - need to take unit out of car (very easy - 5 mounting screws, 2 plug in power connections), remove some brackets from within the unit to get to the DVD itself and then just pull the DVD out - took me less than 1 hour - and I am not tech savvy or mechanically inclined by any means
