No picture on screen and sound still runs.

Without knowing the model or brand of the unit. It sounds like the Inverter "master" and "slave" boards have failed. Most likely dry joints on the transformers or failed electrolytic capacitors. Replace: 2x 680uF 35V or 2x 360uF 35V (Depends on model of LCD). Hope this helps.

I have installed a new 18.5 inch LG Monitor LCT Flat screen to a computer running Windows Vista Ultimate 7 and now the right hand edge of the imagage can't be seen making it difficult to exit any program....

Your monitor should have a reset, which fixes those problems. Other wise look in your graphic settings in your Windows 7 and see if your set for your size monitor.

Graph y1 = 2x +1 if -1< x< 0

Graph 2X PLUS 1 for X in open interval ]-1,0[

It should be entered as follows
(2X plus 1) (X larger than negative 1) (X less than zero)

In [Y=] editor and on line Y1= type your right hand side between parentheses (2X Plus 1). I use the Plus instead of the usual sign because the parser of the web site removes the sign.
[( ]2 [X,T,theta,n] [Plus] 1 [)] [(] [X,T,theta,n] [2nd][MATH] [3: larger than] [(-)] 1 [)] [(] [X,T,Theta,n] [2nd][MATH][5: less than] 0 [)]

Differentiate each of the following w.r.t.x; 29.sin2xsinx

Use the rule for differentiating products of functions: ()' signifies derivative
(29*sin(2X)*sin(X))'= (29)'*sin(2X)*sin(X) +29* (sin(2X))'*sin(X) +29*sin(2X)*(sin(X))'
  1. (29)'=0 derivative of a constant is zero
  2. (sin(2X))'=cos(2X)*(2X)'=2*cos(2X)
  3. (sin(X))'=cos(X)
Result is
(29*sin(2X)*sin(X))'= 29*2*cos(2X)*sin(X)+29*sin(2X)*cos(X)

You could also have cast your formula in the form
sin(2X)*sin(X)= 1/2[ cos(2X-X)-cos(2X+X)]=1/2[cos(X)-cos(3X)]
then calculated the derivative of
which is
29/2*[-si(X) +3*sin(3X)]

The challenge for you is to prove that the two forms are equivalent
29*2*cos(2X)*sin(X)+29*sin(2X)*cos(X)=29/2*[-si(X) +3*sin(3X)]

My screen size is in the 2X mode. I cannot get the screen size back to normal. Of course I lost the owner's manual. I have tried all the buttons on the remote w/o success.

the bottom half of the remote slides down ... that will reveil lots of lesser used controls including zoom .. you can also get to zoom via the menu system .. but its easier to just slide open the bottom cover on the remote and push zoom ..

How to zoom and remove the 2x off the screen

Using the remote control, locate the ZOOM button below number 7.
You can press this to zoom in on the picture (2x, 3x, 4x.. After 4x, if ZOOM is pressed again, the picture goes back to Normal)

There is no way to take off "2X" while it's in the 2x zoom

sec^4X- sec^2X = 1/cot^4X + 1/cot^2X
1/cot^4X + 1/cot^2X
=1/(Cos^4X/Sin^4X) + 1/(Cos^2X/Sin^2X)
=Sin^4X/Cos^4X + Sin^2X/Cos^2X
=Sin^4X/Cos^4X + Cos^2X.Sin^2X/Cos^4X
=Sin^2X/Cos^4(Sin^2X + Cos^2X)
=1/Cos^4X - Cos^2X/Cos^4X
=1/Cos^4X - 1/Cos^2X
=Sec^4X - Sec^2X
