Question about T-Mobile Wing™ Smartphone

1 Answer

Button stuck? My T-mobile Wing keeps scrolling uncontrolably on its own and won't stop. It will stop a little when I push a button on the phone, but will not if I touch the screen. It is also making my backlight stay on so I always have to keep my phone charged. It is like the round button on the bottom is stuck holding down. Does anyone have any idea on what I can do? Please help!

Re: button stuck?

Or course, powercycle....if that doesnt work, a master reset will be needed.....because it sounds like there might be somehitng stuck on the screen in the corner for make it scroll around, clean the screen with a qtip and rubbing alchohol.....if that doesnt work, try a software reset. with the phone off, you will have to press and hold the button withthe lines on them and press the power button.....release the powerbutton.....the phoen should turn on and go to a black screen with white writing....release the soft keys here and press the green call will reset the phone, but in turn, you will loose your info that is not stored on the sim or media card...

this is hard to do, so if you can navigate through the phone go to start, setttings, system, clear storage. it does the same thing. good luck :)

My wing t-mobile display was locked. And what

You need to do a hard-reset. This will erase your added content (third party programs stored in phone memory, notes store in phone memory, etc.)

You must press the reset button while pressing the left and right soft-buttons at the same time. You need your stylus or something small enough to press the recessed button next to the volume control. Once you press the reset button, keep holding the soft buttons it is reset. The display lock should be gone... as well as everything else you put on it.

Hope this helps,

My Wing just keep going from the T moble screen to the Windows Mobile screen. I tried soft reset but the problem continues

I have the same problem some times. If you have an external sd card plugged into the phone, sometimes when the phone is initializing it times out trying to read the card. If you remove the external sd card during boot up and then push it back in once it boots, you will most likely successfully boot all the way up.

Software Opens without prompting and outside buttons stopped working??

Your phone is experiencing a hardware failure in it's external buttons, unfortunately there's not much that can be done without taking it to a physical repair center.

Unlocking a t-mobile wing

You don't have to contact T-Mobile for unlocked code since you are no longer their customer but yo canbuy an unlocked code on by register with Ebay as a new user, choose option Cell phones & PDAs from Categories and then scroll down to look for Unlocking Kits and Codes and then type your phone model, it will show you a bunch of unlocking code for sale. Good Luck

Tmobile Wing won't stop scrolling

Could be the touch screen, fold a piece of paper in half and run it around the screen and make sure nothing is under the lip.

T-mobile Wing - Touch screen stopped working

finally found the fix for this problem..
i had the same problem -
when you are the welcome screen align section
continue holding your stylus on the marker until marker moves to the next location
and continue this process with all four corners and the screen will go past the tap align screen

enjoy, glad i came across another forum for this problem

Ok. So stumbled across this page because I was having the same problem, i.e. all of a sudden the wing was moving unbelievably slow and would lock up if I tried to text. I pulled out the battery, classic, and then I pulled out the sim card. Then I put the battery back in and started it with out the sim card. I unlocked the phone with my code, I couldn't do the second "unlock" because there was no sim card. However, I could play solitaire, look at memory; ya know, mess with the basics. Then I turned the phone off with the power button, pulled the battery out, put the sim card back in, turned the phone on and now everything is great! I have even texted with no problems! hope this works for you!!!
