Blurry images

If it is brand new, return the camera, and show what is happening.
The blurry pictures has to do with a few things. A damaged lens system, a dirty lens, other damage to the lens while it was extended, water or moisture damage can also cause this, including internal circuit damage or broken parts.
Make sure it has not had an impact or other damage, because if it had, then more than likely you will have no warranty, and it will not be taken back by the store.
