How to reset tmobile dash...?

It's a very simple process and can be done within minutes. Here's how you perform a hard reset on this thing:

  1. Press the left and right soft keys simultaneously.
  2. While pressing the soft keys, press and hold the On button for a couple of seconds and then release it.
  3. You will see a screen that tells you to press Send to reset the device. The Send button is the green Call button. Press it and the process is over.

Hope this one solved your problem. If you have additional doubts, please come back to us.

I can't get my Dash to start the camera. No error, no nothing, just the camera is not working. What should I be looking for to fix it? Video recorder is also not working.

Try holding down the camera button for a few seconds from the home screen, and then let go. There should be a spinning circle on the screen. Wait for that to disappear into the camera application (the circle will disappear, and then the camera app will load up.) Also, CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ENOUGH MEMORY ON YOUR PHONE. I think you should have at least 10 MB of free (unused) program and storage memory. Try these things. Also, this phone can be sluggish, so I would suggest trying to wait a little longer for the camera to open up. Also, try taking the battery out of the phone for 3 sec (soft reset) and then putting it back in and starting the phone up. Then open the camera FIRST before you open any other programs. I WOULD ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUYING A MICRO SD STORAGE CARD FOR THIS PHONE, and storing all your programs, data, AS MANY ITEMS AS POSSIBLE on it so that when you have to HARD RESET YOUR PHONE, if ever, you won't lose as much information.

Hi I have a problem with my phone i-mate jaq. the problem is that I blocked, and now I can not remember the password. help me please. thanks

Hi there,
You need to reset your device to factory installed settings, to use your cellphone, there are two type of reset you can apply, 1. Soft reset 2. Hard Reset
1. To perform a soft reset
Remove the battery cover and using the stylus, press on the small
button to the left of the battery. Otherwise simply remove the battery,
wait a few seconds and then insert the battery again.

2. To perform a Hard Reset
Hard reset by pressing device buttons:

1. Turn off your device.
2. Hold down the Send button, End button and Camera button.
3. Do not release Send, End and Camera, press the Power button.
4. After on-screen indication, release all the buttons.
Caution, Hard reset will delete all your data from the Phone memory, including contacts, messages, or pictures you have in phone memory

You can try to do a hard reset but that will delete all your contact information and picture.

.1. On the Home screen, press the Start soft key
2. Select Settings > More... > Security > More... > Reset.
3. Enter the reset password and press the Done soft key. The default password is 0000.

Dash stuck on opening TMobile screen

The Windows Mobile installation may be corrupted.
The only way to fix that problem is by re-installing the windows software on the phone.
You can get the software for the T-mobile dash at the following link:
Be warned that if you use this method most of the data on the phone will be lost, like text messages and etc. Your contacts should be fine as the are stored on the SIM Card and if you have been syncing your contacts with your PC then they should get loaded when you do the up

T-mobile dash

I tried using a the google mail java app on my tmobile dash. It froze up on me, and when i turned it back on it just stays at the "tmobile" splash screen. I have tried using the soft key and power button reset but it doesnt work. What's weird is that it wont power down unless I take the battery out. It powers on, shows the tmobile splash screen, then freezes. Is there any other way to reset it or is it totally bricked? I bought it new off craiglslist so tmobile wont replace it for me cause I'm using it unlocked on cingular.

Ok bro I know I am a bit too late to help you with this problem but someone else may benefit from these directions. I see most places online only have half advice about this very common problem with T-mobile Dash.

This is what you need to do, you have to do a hard reset exactly like "reviel" mention. Also like he said timing is essential but the trick is that you need to show some patience through the process.

Note: Please read the directions completely before doing anything for better results.

Step 1: Take your battery out and shut off your phone
Step 2: Press and hold the two soft key buttons.
Step 3: Press and hold the power button for exact two seconds, 1001, 1002 and release, but continue to hold the two soft key buttons.
Step 4: Within seconds a black screen with some text will come up asking you to confirm if you wanna delete everything; and right then you let go of your soft key buttons and press the green call button (also known as the "send key").
Step 5: You are done but not really, your job now is to find something else to do and leave your phone alone for at least 2 minutes. Eventually if you don't have a SIM in it, it will prompt you for it and you click the soft key to choose "OK"; also, it will ask you to confirm to restart and you click the soft key to chose "Done" for it.

Wait a minute for it boot up and overall it should do it.

Did you do the MASTER RESET?

- If this does not work you can try to flash the phone back to factory. Look up TMOBILE DASH factory flash.
