This camera requires either a sd or a mmc card, and must be put in with the front of the card (the card with the label on) to the front of the camera. If installed backwards or with the label facing the back, the camera internal parts can be damaged beyond repair.
Make sure you can read pictures on another sd or mmc card from another camera. If it can read, make sure you have the right kind of card. This camera came with a 16meg card, so make sure that it can read larger cards, most should, since this camera was made in about 2006. However some cameras may have problems with large cards such as over 2 GB. Just a thought, and try it.
