My maytag dishwasher doesn't seem to be washing or rinsing well and leaves a calcium like film on the dishes even though there is a rinse agent in the proper container.

The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com. They have a new product out that solves this problem once and for all. It filters the water entering your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that cause these spots. Very affordable and guaranteed to leave your dishes looking amazing every time.

My maytag dishwasher is leaving a white cloudy film on my dishes that won't come off!

First check your rinse aid make sure you have some in there. I have been told that too much or too little of this can cause problems with etching glass and damaging dinnerware. . I would put a cup in right side up and wash a wash as usual and take the cup out and check that water after. Make sure your using a proper soap, and hot water is getting to your dishwasher. Or has it been full and not really coming out over a long period of time?
Another possibility is it is dirty inside the dishwasher, and not draining?

My Dishwasher leaves a white film on dishes.

check inlet water quality. If more calcium deposits in the water this could happen. Try using water water softeners.

If provision for dish washer salt check and add salt. ( not kitchen salt )

Finally check whether rinse aid compartment is filled with the liquid. If you are tablet, extra rinse aid not needed. Try all the above.

Mainly the glasses have a film on them after they have been clean

We live in the country where hard water is very pentiful. We had this problems and my wife ran one cup of vinegar through the wash cycle without anything in the washer and this corrected our film problem it worth a try. I hope this helps you.

The dishes do not rinse properly--despite rinse

run some calcium lime and scale remover throught the unit on an empty wash cycle just to get rid of any build up that may be there.
turn the rinse aid down to about half way.
also check the phosphours content of you washing agent.
there is a lot of factor involved with leaving film on the dishes, it could also be residual soap content that is sticking to your dishes.
reduce the amount of soap a little.does not matter if it is liquid or powder.
once every three months you need to run cleaner through the machine.
last thing but very important make sure the incoming water temp i no lowe rthan 120 degrees.

Maytag DWU8330AAX: glasses, plates, utensils,

Hi,

The rinse cycle is the same as the wash except the wash uses detergent and the rinse uses rinse aid.

The rinse cycle will dispense rinse aid if you have filled the dispenser. Check this first, that would be the most likely cause. Also in the spring as the water table table in most cities begins to rise the water quality goes down, extra calcium in the water can cause this problem.

Here is a link to help understand that. Let me know if you have questions.

Dishes and glasses always come out with a film hard to rinse

Hello- A product called CLR -- Calcium, Lime and Rust,  seems to work pretty good. A tablespoon in a coffee cup, upright for one wash should do it. Works better than white vinegar. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed.- Thanks- ED
