Mouse somtimes sticks - Dell U0636 Mouse

usb stick doesn t light also on mine but works perfectly. press once on stick button and once on mouse "setup" button and they will connect.

First off make sure you have fresh batteries in the mouse. If the batteries are missing or weak then that would cause the no connection between the mouse and the usb stick.

After you check the mouse out for fresh batteries, then go ahead and plug the usb stick into your laptop. At this point you should hear a sound and windows should install the drivers for that mouse, if it doesn't then the next thing would be to try another computer or laptop that has working usb ports and try to connect the usb stick on another computer.

If it works then that means there is an issue with the usb ports on your office laptop. If the mouse still doesn't work then that means the usb stick is bad and you would need to buy a new mouse.

You should try replacing the batteries in the unit, if it still freezes after that, try unplugging and replugging the wireless receiver. If it still freezes, try it on a separate PC. If it freezes still yet on a different computer, then you know the mouse has a hardware problem and should be replaced. If it doesn't freeze on the other PC then you will need to reinstall the software for the mouse on your main computer.

Probably a power supply issue.

Two common problems that cause this are 1st,sticking throttle bode,or 2nd,Egr valve sticking.

Go to control pannel and open accessibility option and uncheck the Use Sticky Keys box. Then click ok.
Another one in accessibility option click Mouse option and uncheck the UseMouseKeys. Then clik ok.

check for faulty vacuum lines

AAHHHHHHHHH, quite often optical mice have PTFE non-slip pads under them which aid the physical movement of the mouse. Look under the mouse - are they missing? If so, spares are hard to come by, and optical mice are relatively cheap nowadays. Try using the mouse on a surface thats even and flat (a 210gsm bit of card may do it). Hope this helps

Ref wireless mouse. Not sure if you have a solution yet but it seems there could be 2 sources to the problem. First a weak or decaying laser. Second, something you have introduced recently that could interfere with the wireless signal eg mobile phone, another wireless device, cordless phone, telephone wires close to receiver or maybe something else. Not sure what you do if the laser is failing other than clean the lens. You might have to get it checked or try a friends mouse to see if it is better. There s also a setting than can change the sensitivity of the mouse. Have you looked at those settings.

have you checked the battries in the mouse as the battries that com with the mouse don't last long and have you pressed the connect buttons on receiver and mouse as somtimes usb power receivers loose connection on laptops try this one. hope this works
