Re: help

Try this-

Open up your Device Manager.

In Xp I right click on My Computer and go to Properties.
In the window that pops up, go to Hardware, then Device Manager.

Connect your Palm and try syncing, at the bottom a Yellow Triangle with an exclamation point ! may appear. If it does, double click it.

You will need to reinstall the drivers.

My Kindle Fire will not start

If you last charged it with the computer USB port, try charging with the supplied AC adapter instead. If you last charged with the computer USB port, try charging with the AC adapter this time. This will help isolate a bad AC adapter / power cord or USB cable / USB port.

It is important to note that if you are charging your Kindle via USB port on a computer, when many computer enters "sleep mode" the USB power is shut off at this time too. Charging is effectively halted - even though still connected. You should only expect to charge while the computer is active or when using the AC adapter.

You can also purchase an aftermarket DC charger. These are small plugs that are inserted into your auto's port or cigar lighter. They provide 1 or 2 USB connectors to plug in a USB cable. These devices are suitable to supply / charge just about any devices that uses a computer's USB port to power / charge a device. They cost anywhere from $5 and up and look something like this:
I hope this helps and good luck!

The syncronizing software for OZ-290HII will not work with my computer, though it installs,it keeps saying (file export failed) and this unit has a USB cable. I followed all the instructions but that...

Hello Sr,

Kindly read this, it may help you.

When the software that lets your computer communicate with your PDA acts up, always check the cables and connections first. Is the USB (Universal Serial Bus) or serial cable connected securely to the PDA (or cradle) and the PC? Is the PDA seated properly in its cradle if it uses one? If everything is in place, visit the palmOne ( or Windows Mobile ( Web site and download the latest version of the HotSync or ActiveSync software that is compatible with your PDA and your computer's OS. Keeping synchronization software up-to-date is important because newer versions fix compatibility problems and usually add new features.

If you have a Palm OS PDA that uses a USB connection, sometimes incompatibilities exist between Windows and the software that you can resolve only by running a special USB utility found at the PalmOne download site mentioned previously. Select your hardware from the drop-down list and click the USB Registry Utility link. Download the USBRegClean.exe file, navigate to the downloaded file, and double-click the icon to install it. Reboot your computer and reinstall the Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager.

Hi yes the plug into the cradle if this is fine then the firmware could have become corrupt due to virus or some data getting change this can happen.
The other thing you can try is remove all the software off the computer then plug the usb in and see if your computer tells you in a pop up box that new device has been found.
If it says this then the chances are its software of firmware problem ok.
If your computer dont give you pop up box telling you new device connected then the try another usb port to rule out the usb port being the problem or try a different device in the usb port to make sure its working fine.
If your computer dont pick the palm up then the problem is more likely to be hardware related like port on palm damaged or even internal parts failing inside the palm.
So just try plug it into usb port and see if your computer picks it up look under my computer and see if its listed their then let me know ok

1) make sure you have the latest active sync installed

C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\drivers
c:\windows\system32\drivers....with activesync 3.7 anyways.
2) go to contro panel -> system -> device manager -> view device b
connection -> plug and play bios -> pci bus -> usb host controller -usb root hub
3)delete everything uner usb root hub.
4)from control panel run add new hardware
5)now everything under your computer's usb hub including the cradl
will be installed properly.
6)once this installation is performed, you will make sure to see "H

IPAQ H5555 connection problems

Hi, This could be due to a few issues, try these soloutions in order below: 1) If you have a jacket connected to the ipaq it could be preventing the ipaq from locating correctly on the connector. Remove jacket and try insering again. 2) Check that active sync is set up to detect the device on the usb port. The cradle for the ipaq may have a serial and usb connector. Ensure that just the usb connector is attached to your laptop. Try connecting again. 3) You may need to uninstall the USB cradle if it was connected before installing active sync. Try the following steps if this was the case: a) unplug the USB cradle b) uninstall active sync c)Click start then click control pannel then click system. Then click on the hardware tab. Look for the device under USB, right click on the device and then select uninstall. d) restart the laptop e) Install active sync f) ONLY after active sync has installed you can now plug the cradle back into the usb socket. g) Now connect the ipaq, it should now detect it.

Migrating software and data to new computer

Assume that your Visor is your data respository. So you should make sure that you have an up-to-date synchronization from the NT PC. Now get the XP compatible software for your Visor from the palmOne website and install it on the XP box. I assume that you will be synching via USB this time - this is the default setup when you install the software. Hopefully you still have the USB cradle that came with the Visor. You can still use serial sync with XP but you should try to take advantage of the speed of USB on the new PC. Download for XP & Visors: Once the software is installed, sync with the new computer and all your data should be copied from the Visor to your PC in the first synchronization. By the way, Outlook shouild be installed on the new computer before you install the Visor software; otherwise the installer will not offfer to install the PocketMirror conduits.

PC restarts when VISOR put on USB cradle fro hot sychn operation

USB glitch is most likely, depending on which operating system you are using. This is especially common with USB hubs. If using a hub, try plugging the cradle directly to the computer. If still having a problem, unplug all USB then use Hardware Manager (in the Control Panel) to delete all USB entries. Restart the computer and plug one USB back in at a time. If this does not help, try the forums at
