Question about Dell Latitude CPX Notebook
The touch pad won't work my cursor is stuck in the middle of the screen.
the light that is shaped with a lock with number 9 is lit up! it is located by the shift lock light
If you have a spare USB mouse, you might try plugging it in to the laptop. Then go to your control panel. Go to your mouse settings, and be sure that your settings are correct for the touchpad.
Is this a new (to you) computer, or have you had this a while, and then it happened all of a sudden?
When you plug in the USB mouse, it may take a few seconds to recognize the mouse.
