Question about Toshiba e-Studio163 Copier

Light copy dear sir, i have toshiba 163 copier and i have service also but my problem not solved yet , i had nearly 70,000 copies and i have problem with light copy. so they changed the developer then also not ok. still getting very poor and light copy and, the text sticking to bear hands its washout if we rub it. so i am very upset with this machine. i have service with HCL people , but i cant understand what they do . this willl be not good for service , its very poor service and not training with this machine i think , pls send good suggestion for me pls reply

In your manual, - check and see how many copies your printer can make before you have to replace the drum. The drum works with the developer to burn your images into the paper. Each drum has a limit of how many copies it will do. 70,000 copies is a lot. We usually replace 2 a year and we make a lot of copies.

My AR-163 copier is bringing out half copy, it will copy and leave the down part uncoppied, how do i solve that problem


Half copy is never an issue with the toner. If you leave the lid open and make a skyshot copy what does it look like, is the copy all black with a thin white border around it, and do you see the scanner light comming on all the way across? You will want to make sure that your developer is evenly distributed across the magnetic roller. Also try looking into the score tron and check the drum cleaning blade and drum.

If you try to copy, can you see the scanner light moving across? If not the lamp has failed. If it always works first time, that could be a failing lamp or a poor connection

03 year before I bought toshiba estudio 163. The copy of estudio is very commendable, and performance of the machine is outstanding, already I have taken morethan 50,000 copies now a days machine dead


Your copier has reached it's pre-programmed maintenance cycle. {lease call a qualified Toshiba technician and ask him to change the copy kit and if necessary, the Fuser Roller. He can then reset the maintenance cycle.

COPY IS NOT GOOD....


weast toner is not go properly.or paper jam in drum unit or paper dust clean in drum unit.
