TT 02 doesn't spin - Help!

Hello,  i've just bought tt 2 turntables for scratching and mixing. For some days, everything was ok, but now i have a problem: The turntable doesn't spin any more. The power seems to be ok, because the lights on the buttons are on. But when i press start nothing happens. The brake works correctly. You can also move the platter freely. Can you help me?
Thanks, Lukas from Germany

I don't know if these are belt driven or not but i would check to see if the belt fell off, if motor driven then i would suspect a bad motor.

The plate on my numark tt USB is wobbiling

I find it hard to believe some of these answers. If the platter is wobbling, if you remove the platter, you'll find the spindle the platter rotates on. That will probably be loose. At the bottom of the spindle bearing, you will find a nut. Tighten that, and you should be in business. If you have further questions please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. I have a turntable connected to my technics hifi system but the volume is very low the hifi system is the sc-dv 290 help woud be apricaited

I imagine it is also tinny. Is your unnamed TT self-preampified?

It always helps to know some details about BOTH parts of the scenario when they don't work together. I'm sure the TT's manual would identify how to use it.

"PHONO" is the only designated connection on an audio device that is literal and exclusive. Nothing but PHONO will work right on it and old-school turntables would require it to preamplify and frequency-correct the tiny current produced by a Phono cartridge. Look up RIAA equalization.

If your unit doesn't have a PHONO connection AND your TT doesn't have a self-contained preamp you will have to get a Phono Preamp to connect between the TT and any Line Level input, like Aux.

How do I connect my pioneer pl555z turntable to my new pioneer receiver.

It helps to know the details of BOTH entities when an inter-connection is involved.

Most 'new' receivers don't support old-school TT's.

I recently bought this turntable used. I am trying to connect it to a Sony receiver with a phono input, but no sound comes out when connected. Does this turntable require a pre-amp or something?

If the unspecified Sony has a "PHONO" input you should be good to go. What model?
