My LG Flatron L1750S has just glowing white screen and no on screen setup menu either.

That is a common symptom of a failure of the filter capacitors on the power supply board. When the filter capacitors go out the backlight can get power so there is light but the control board is not powered up so you get no picture. You can rebuild the board and bring the unit back to full working condition by replacing the defective parts. Here is a link to information showing what capacitors you will need to get to do the rebuild.

And here is a picture of what the AIP-0108 power supply board looks like

I hope this helps,

No power in monitor

First check for a LED indicator? if there is one is it changing when you turn on your monitor? if there is changing light then the problem might be on the power supply or maybe on the LCD lamp. To check the power supply check for a defective fuse a defective fuse has no reading on multimeter and the o.k has 000 reading. the LCD lamp power supply can be converted into different power supply. hope this may help you.

How do I turn it on

To power on the Gateway VX750, press the power button on the front. The power button has 3 sides with a "G" in the middle.

The LED indicates the power status of the monitor.
  • Not lit - The monitor is turned off or does not have power connected.
  • Blinks one time and then goes off - The LED blinks one time when the monitor's power cord is plugged into an AC outlet to indicate that power is detected.
  • Lit solid blue - The monitor is turned on and active.
  • Blinking blue - The monitor is in power saving mode. Before entering power saving mode, a message briefly appears.
Hope this helps.

LG Flatron - green power led blinks twice

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed LG monitors to get some ideas what to look for:
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

My dell monitor turns on for 2 seconds then goes black and the green light blinks orange

I assume that you already try this monitor on another PC to verify that the problem is in the monitor, in this case you need to open it up and inspect the fuse, transitors, solder connections on the power/inverter board, see failed Dell monitors here for guide:

LG Flatron L1750S LCD won't display anything...

To your concern, a couple of suggestions:
  • if you could try again a reputable electronics service center/shop, pls mention for them to look at the CCF (cold cathode florescent) lamps, the inverter and/or the main board;
  • the blinking light is significant, it could indicate loss of video signal or internal protection kicking in;
  • possibly heat related, check for any of the capacitors bulging or leaking.
If they would reference a service manual or a schematic diagram, pls relay that it is chassis CL-82 for an LG L1750S. Foremost to check would be for the presence of both the 12 and 5 volts,.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
