My e507 has recently started shutting off

My e507 has recently started shutting off intermittently. When it does, the screen goes completely blank and none of the buttons respond. Then, after some short time, it will say "Accessing Data" and go to the main screen of the music player. It doesn't seem to have any relationship to the orientation of the player, movement, etc. I get the impression that maybe a chip is going bad. I haven't lost any music or anything, it just resets every so often. Very annoying. Any suggestions?
