My son's DS Lite stopped working last night. The unit was working fine and the battery light turned red so he put it on to charge. After about an hour the light was green so he tried to start the console...

It sounds like the battery is dead. You can order a replacement battery direct from Nintendo at

Nintendo ds lite keeps shutting off

you probably have a power shortage when you move the screen. the only way to fix this is to open the ds, make sure everything is in the right place, and put it back together. i cant promise this will work, but it should.

My touch pad worked fine last night, but now it doesn't! Help!

well, first you should see if it needs charging. Then turn on the ds and touch the little ds on the bottom of the screen. Go to the calibrate or the thing that is on the right side of the person. Try thr test and dont stop it until its over. Try touching the screen again but if that doesnt work call nintendo which the number is in the manual or find it at See if that works.

Ds lite comes on for a sec when charger plugged in then it goes of unit does not come on or charge

Hi three things come to mind, you dropped it but usually they wont admit it (dont go mad they usually all break when you do) if it rattles the capacitor under the power switch just fell off (common you have to solder it back on) if not that you replaced the bottom screen and forgot to insulate the metal of the back of the screen against the circuit board and blew either the f1 or f2 fuses (Replace them if you did) last thing i wont go into if you havent pulled it apart if you have reply and i will tell you Good Luck

DS 2 Peices

Hey, you need a new outer case and a new top screen. There is a ribbon that comes out of the top screen on the top case and connects to the bottom one. There is a very good chance that ribbon has torn off. So you need to replace the top screen and a new outer case with a new hinge. I would send it to Nintendo, I believe they offer a flat rate service for the Nintendo DS Lite.
