Question about Kenmore 15899 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

No power/not responding

We just had it repaired a couple of months ago for a blown wire. The wires seem fine. But it didn't complete it's last rinse cycle and I can get no power from it now. Nothing lights up and I get no response out of it. Any ideas. I really don't want to have to pay for another repair job. I could buy another one for the cost of two repair trips.

Awesome!!! Thank you so much! That is exactly what was wrong with it.

It took all of about $15 and 15 minutes for my husband to fix it.

    Thanks again!

Check your breaker first. If your breaker is fine , then remove inner door panel by taking out screws. Next remove cover from control panel, and replace control panel fuse. Write down the make and model # of your dishwasher, then go to appliance store buy new fuse. Then you will know what it looks like. Then you will be able to replace the one in the control panel. Afterwards seal control panel cover with silicone, and reassemble. that should fix your problem, but if not we would be more than happy to assist you further.

Hi, I'm having a problem with my new dryer. We got this dryer about a year ago and for some reason in the last couple months, almost every 2 weeks the fuze blows. The dryer turns on but it doesn't...

Makecertain that your wiring is not exposed to anything. Be sure to turn the power off to the dryerand check the outlet. Also check to seeif your dryer cord is connected to the dryer right. Usually the outer prongs on the dryer are thehot and in the inner one is the ground.

I have a Toshiba Satellite X205 SLI1, a couple of months ago my video card failed. Had no display, and three long beeps on startup. After replacing the video card, the system booted and was working fine...

check the power wires..inside ..maybe you didn't plug something when you changed the video card ..also you should check the new card for power needs..and see if it is a match ..some of them may be a problem in this matter .Anyway if you got a similar one this is not an issue ..
from what you say seam a power mater and this is why I suggest to open it up and check all wires..even plug the charger with the board exposed..and check all plugs and wires and see ..whats all about ..If it does not power at all it may be the motherboard ..and probably you wired it wrong ..or it just gave up ..

Makita 5" Random Orbit Sander

The armature windings have an overlay problem in the wiring causing this and there is no soluation except to replace the armature which is not cost efective unless you are still under Warrantee and get a free replacement, it will burn up at some point. If you bought it within the last month take it back and get a new one, over one month, pack it back up in the original box and send it to address in the owners manual for repair or replacement service addresses.

Bulbs burning out in Hampton Bay ceiling fan

I would suggest getting an electrician to check the current running through the wiring. I had installed a similar fan in my grandmother's house a couple of years ago and had the same problem. After a couple of months of constantly changing bulbs, I brought in an electrician to check the current and found that there was a short in the wire which kept causing just enough of a current surge to blow the bulbs.
