The laser it's self isn't what you want to clean - it's the lense. I recommend purchasing a CD laser lense cleaning kit from Best Buy. Usually the cleaner looks like any other disk, but it has a small cleaning cloth on it. You load the disk into the machine as you would any CD and the CD player tracks the laser and reader assembley to the position where the small piece of cloth is. As the cloth passes, it wipes the lense clean.
If you must clean the lense manually, I suggest using a Q-Tip and some isopropal rubbing alcohol. Dip the Q-Tip into the isopropal alcohol, and then press the swab of the C-Tip against the inside of the alcohol bottle to remove any excess alcohol from the Q-Tip so you don't have excess alcohol drip down into the laser assembley. CAREFULLY, GENTLY wipe the lense with the Q-Tip, using circular motion. After about 15 - 20 passes with the wet end of the Q-Tip, turn the Q-Tip around and wipe the lense with the dry clean end of the Q-Tip to remove any excess alcolhol and to prevent any residue that may accumulate as a result of the alcolhol drying. Again I stress being gentle because the lense rides in a magnetic field as part of it's focusing function and if you press the lense down too hard, you will damage the focusing coils and the unit will no longer be able to focus onto the disk and won't be able to read anything. Just be gentle, and good luck.

My cd is not being read on my panasonic cd stereo system sa-ch64m?

I afraid to say the symptom indicates your unit's laser is faulty
First of all I would suggest you to clean the laser lens to see if it solves your problem.
1) Purchase a CD/DVD laser lens cleaner disc and run it through the system 5-6 times.
If you want, you can buy a CD/DVD laser lens cleaner disc by following this link- http://www.amazon.com/Memorex-CD-DVD-Player-Laser-Lens-Cleaner/dp/B00008EM7U
2) If your unit is not under warranty then try this step otherwise it will void your unit's warranty.
If the cleaning disk does not work then remove the cover of the device, you may be able to locate the laser eye clean the laser with a soft clean cue tip or a cotton bud using isopropyl alcohol. Then check with a magnifying glass for any traces of dirt.
If cleaning doesn't helps then you will have to replace the laser diode and replacing the laser diode is very expensive because it requires the entire optical pickup to be replaced and realigned. Therefore I would suggest you to please first of all enquire about the labor, installation charges etc before going for the repair because in some cases the cost of replacing the laser inside the unit will typically exceed the cost of buying a replacement unit.

Simply, how does one clean the laser of any king in a sliding door CD Player I cannot even see it when the door is open. What care sgould I take when cleaning the laser?

You can buy a CD that cleans the dust and haze off the laser. This CD has little soft brushes on it that gently clean the laser. Never touch the laser with your finger or wipe it with a rag.

Do i need a new laser or just clean the laser?

You can try cleaning the laser lens first. The lens can be cleaned with alcohol and qtips. If cleaning the lens doesn't work, then you may have a bad laser.

Audiovox D2016 returning to the beginning during playback

the player is not able to read your disk ...if the disk is clean and it does the same thing for other disks as well then you probably have dust or debree on the laser ... on some players you can see the laser .. it looks like a little lens thats very springy ...you can clean it with a soft tissue wetted with eye glass cleaning fluid .. dont spray directly on the laser ...gently clean the laser lens .... if you cant see the laser with the lid open then you can purchase a DVD/CD cleaning disk ... that looks like a regular DVD but has little brushes mounted on it to clean the laser when you play it ....cleaning the laser usually works but if it doesnt then you could have a damaged or worn out laser .....just a single hair or particle is enough to keep the laser from working...

Screen say : no dish

the unit will say "no disk" if it is unable to read your disk ... that is often caused by dust or debree on the laser or the laser could be damaged ... the laser is the little lens that you see when the lid is open ... you can clean that with a soft tissue and some eye glass cleaner ..dont spray directly on the laser .. spray only on the tissue . very gently clean and dry the laser ... its mounted on a flexible mechanism so you have to be careful not to stress it ... also clean your disk . if the laser cleaning doesnt help then it may be damaged or worn out .. make sure the laser wiggles freely as if it was on a spring ... make sure the disk is actually turning .. you can listen for it to spin up .. ...

Doesnt read any disc

sounds like either a dirty laser or a low powered laser, laser cleaning discs tend to be **** once the laser has stopped reading, if you are confident in stripping it , locate the laser and twist a cotton bud into it,this is the best way of cleaning, do not use any cleaning fluid as this can damage it.

Cleaning the Dell 3000 CN

Dell 3000 CN has no printheads, printheads are on inkjet printers, this is a color laser.

On a laser there is nothing that you can clean with a software.

If printer is not printing replace toner cartridge or try reinstalling drivers.

If printouts are dirt, then the printer must be manually be cleaned inside, see Clean your laser printer safely with these tips
