Question about Intel Computers & Internet
All of a sudden the printer is producing a paper crimp in the middle of beginning edge of paper fed into printer. Rollers have been cleaned several times per manual instruction but does not correct problem. Paper will slant to the right when printer is engaged. Signals paper jam, however paper has hardly entered the printer. Opened printer from the front, seems like one of the bed segments that the paper feeds across is raised( or other segments are lowered do not know which). Cannot correct the problem, afraid to touch the bed segments behind the printing cartridges, ant suggestions?

The print driver might not be sending the correct color profile for photo paper. Check that your selection of the paper type "sticks", that is, that it doesn't revert to plain paper when you click on the print button.
If the print dialog is not working properly, then please get in touch with Canon's tech support to resolve this.

gears below the paper feeding tray are damaged or some dust particle have blocked the gears try to clean it by blowing the dust use normal greece (oily substance) between the gears so that they can move frequently to pull the paper, and if the gears are damaged you have to change the gears.

Maybe if you hold down the cycle button and let it run through a "test cycle" to receive a printer data sheet it might clear the internal buffer or whatever you call that short term memory these printers have. Let us know. JP

Is the message general error? The problem is tchip. When turn on chip is recognized by printer, but when start to print, printer "read" some information from the chip. Here is the error. Some pin at the chip for redaing the existence of chip, other pin for reading the information. Check connector between chip and carriage.
