I can't seem to access VCast on my LG VX8100. The phone otherwise works ok, but I can't download ring tones, receive a picture text, or download the address book manager which is what I really wanted.
I've called Verizon several times and they instructed me through a series of steps to reset and refresh the phone. Then they directed me to a service center where I left my phone for an afternoon only to find out that they couldn't repair it either. They said that they re-loaded the software and everything. I paged through your problems on this site but didn't see anything like this. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

nothing works, i've tried erasing 7 ring tones, v cast music, pictures, apps, videos, nothing works and I cant get new ringtones either, this is soooo stupid. i have the LG EnV

try erasin txt messages too or anything else u dont care bout. try anything that can erase or if u can get a memory card

As far as downloading songs with the internet, yes, VCast is your only choice for Verizon.
However, you are free to sideload your .mp3 formatted files from your computer to your phone via a microSD card, or data cable, no matter where they came from.
If you're going to use a memory card, you'll need to insert it into the phone and format it (its under Menu > Settings > Memory usually). Then make sure that you only load the files into the music folder for them to work.

I own the samsung schu740 or something like that, i think its also called the alias, and i have the same problem. I have visited the local verizon store several times. the first time they did a software update...it worked for a day. the second time they checked the 'switch' and concluded there was nothing wrong with it. the third time they reset my serial number...yet again to no avail. They can't fix it, yet they refuse to replace it because the tech guy insists that it's not the phones fault. I'm going back tomorrow to raise hell.
I am getting same problem in NEW LG 10000. Can any one help
