Re: music downloads

The huge advantage of Sansa e200 is drag n' drop functionality! It's the same easy as copy and paste. Besides, you can subscribe to Rhapsody if you want and get thousands of songs.

Download music to computer

Put your Sansa into MSC mode (Settings-USB mode). Connect it to your PC (not a MAC), and it will act just like a removable memory module. You can use windows file explorer to copy, cut, paste the music files just like any other file.

Download music

Music is stored on your computer (or on the Internet) as .mp3 files. You can rip (convert) them from your own CDs or find them online for sale (like at Amazon) or as free songs (Google "mp3 blog".

Here are videos showing you how to get the music on the player. Look at No. 5 and 6.

The Sansa plays other files as well as .mp3, but start with .mp3, the most popular and least complicated kind of music file.

Use rhapsody for the trial period and now My SanDisk Sansa e200 won't acknowledge any downloads on my e200 since I didn't sign up for rhapsody. How can I get my e200 to allow download from somewhere other...

If you didnt delete the music from your trial subscription with Rhapsody, they are still on the device, taking up space. Your device will allow any type of music to be transferred, it doesnt have to be specifically from Rhapsody. Best idea is to "format" the device to remove everything and try transferring the music onto the device. Connect the device and go to My Computer>Device Name, then right click on the device and select format. This will erase everything. If you are not able to format the device, change the mode, then try again. Device>Settings>mode or USB Mode. Reply if you have more problems. Best of Luck.
