FTP works at my job, doesn't through my verizon-supplied westell a90 modem. Help!

Verizon use pppoe network, meaning that your ip address changes. FTP will not work unless you have a static IP address. In some city's verizon offers what is called a static IP address. You ought to call them up and ask them if that is ava.
