Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console

2 Answers

No sound I have just purchased the playstation guitar hero III and purchased another guitar to allow 2 persons to play. However, the second player does not have any sound. It registers points but no sound for the second guitar comes out. It is not the guitar as far as I can tell. I switched the guitars around and the second guitar works fine. Could it be the Guitar Hero III disc with the problem? Any ideas?

Re: No sound

Same thing is happeneing to me...

I have Guitar hero 1 and 2. Whenever i go into Multiplayer mode... one guitar is really loud and one guitar is barely audible. I know its not the guitar because i've switched them around and the same thing happens. One is soft and one is loud. It doesn't matter whether one is playing bass or not.... Please help, it's very annoying!

Re: No sound

I'm having the same problem. theyre not playing bass because it's on face off and pro face off too. it's also not the gh 3 disc because it does the same thing to me on gh 2 and rocks the 80s. it has something to do with the ps2.

The guitar hero world tour does not play on my playstatin 2

We had the same problem with Guitar Hero World Tour for PS2. We have an older fat PS2 that would play all of our other games but this one. I tried changing the settings to fast/smooth, changed the diagnostics, still didn't work. Finally, I took The PS2 apart, blew out the dust, cleaned the laser lens with a qtip and rubbing alcohol, dried it gently with a dry q-tip, and the game works!!

Connection problem

ok, first check all your vents on the ps2... are they clogged up with dust? get a can of compressed air,(available at any tech shop and even walmart) and blow them out. it sounds to me like ur ps2 is overheating.. pay close attention to the fan also is it coming on when u power up? is it only happening when u play guitar hero? keep me posted i will help in any way i can :) melissa

Ps2 memory card

First of all, make sure the card is in slot one. I'm not sure about Guitar Hero 3, but I know many games default to searching the first slot (the one on your left as you look at the system).

Assuming that's not the problem, it could be a sign that your memory card is wearing out. Do you have a second memory card? If not, I suggest getting one. Either way, put one card in each slot, and go into the browser. Copy the Guitar Hero saves over to the other card, then put that card in slot 1 and see if it works. If it does, I suggest copying all your saved games over to the new card, and throwing the old one out before you lose any save games permanently.

No data for guitar hero III

I'm using the slim... maybe it is the type of memory card but guitar hero is the only game I've had a problem with. I just restarted the game and then beat it over again. After it said that there wasn't any data and I chose to make a new one, it said that there was data but it was corrupt. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, but I haven't had any trouble since I started over the other one.
