No Sh*t Sherlock....that answer is a no brainer....you must be
trying to build up points by posting inane suggestions.

I have the same problem.

PCG-FRV35 DVD drive just does not work. The computer says it is operating properly but the drive does not even spin the disk. No access by any means. I'm about to buy a new one but I thought I'd see if there is any way to fix this one first.

if you have a problem the dvd drive and you are sure it is the drive that is faulty you can replace it. find a techician to find out what the problem is and he if suggests to replace it then you happly take that way.
