My printer Canon LBP 2900 won't work on my new computer windows 7

There are none and I am sorry but there probably never will be, See this is the major problem with Win 7 anything over a year old generally just isn't supported.
Here is how to Install them so they work. Download your XP driver you wish to install. If it's in a zip/rar file then extract it to your desktop. You should have a simple .exe file sitting on your desktop to install the drivers, as normal for XP. Right click the .exe file and select "Properties". Then select the tab called "Compatibility" Now check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" Make sure "Windows XP Service Pack 2" is highlighted. Now apply the settings and run the installer. This should work for most drivers, but not all Install and run as Administrator.

Vista Upgrade

Honestly, the only option is if the printer manufacturer develops a drivers that works with vista. or You can try install the generic drivers for the scanner see if that will work. Better consult with the manufacturer of the scanner for compatible drivers for vista

MFC 8420 Problem

Hi, .inf are product information files and tells the computer the specific brand/model and drivers needed for your all-in-one and are OS specific. They are normally found inside a folder named DRIVER with other files such as .cab, .dll, .sys, etc. The installer sometimes compresses all of these files in an .exe, .zip or .rar to reduce file sizes. Double clicking on the download compressed/installer will expand or auto-install. Your download must match the brand/model of the all-in-one and your operating System, XP, Vista etc. Your drivers/installers may be found here > Hope this be of some help to you. Pls post again how things turn up or if we can be of further assistance. Cheers.
