it sounds like a heat thing to me...

try this..

get a vacuum cleaner and **** out any grills/fan holes...

careful a vacuum will also remove your keys...

or try this...

could also try tilting up the laptop at the back using a couple of corks to allow increased airflow...

or even try this...

during your 10minute uptime look for acer epower management. i believe this can be set to NOT ENOUGH FAN which is obviously bad and might explain the crashing...
