I have a remote to the Dora TV/DVD player. The TV does not work and I am not looking to get another one. The remote worked the last time the TV worked. Since there are three people here needing the remote. I will sell it to the highest offer. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks so much!!
Wish I could help, but I have the same problem. Thought it was bad battery contact, so popped the back off. Cleaned contacts, no difference. What I don't know is if the remote is bad or the receiver end in the player. No way to tell that I can figure.
My daughters had the same problem, try replacing C411 (I think that was the number on the board), its a 10V 1000uf capacitor in what appears to be the 5V power supply section toward the right rear of the main board, that fixed it. On hers the capacitor was swelled up on the end. I checked it out of the circuit and the DVM I used only indicated it had about 500uf capacity.
