Can't get the recorder to come on a timed setting

Possible fault within the memory to the processor as the TIMER settings does not register. Erase all the settings if there were set earlier and then swtich off power on the set for few hours. Now switch on and set the TIMER, make sure there is no power interuptions , fault in the PLUG point or a power supply related issue. If so the fault is within and might need some professional help to remove , check and rectify.

New applaince can't set clock, cannot switch on eletric ovens, electric grill works, gas hobs fine

I'm sure you must have had an answer by now, but just incase anyone else has the same issue. The ovens don't work unless the clock has been set (happens after a power cut). To set the clock you need to hold down the left-hand two buttons (underneath the clock) and at the same time press either the + or - button.

How do i program my hamton bay universal remote to wor with my magnavox vcr/dvd recorder combo unit

Magnavox VCR codes are 007, 011, 028, 032, 059
Magnavox DVD code is listed as 001 only.

Manually turn on the device. Press and hold the SET button then press and release the VCR button, then release the SET button. Enter a three digit code then press power. If it does not turn off the device, try the next one.

You might also try the 'code search' if none of the above codes work. Press and hold SET then VCR and release both. Then Press and release the SET button again. The indicator light should begin blinking. Press and release the POWER button until your device turns off. You may have to go through up to 200 different codes until it turns off. Once the device does turn off, press the VCR button again to store the code.

I had d problem where mi dvd was unable 2 eject cuz it was locked, so i uplugged it den pluggd it bak n held d power button and it suddenli went off as i was holdin d button n now it doesnt wanna ***...

Normally when the VCR is plugged in, the display should blink. If not, it could be broken. Since I am not sure about this model, do an experiment. Unplug the unit. Wait for a few minutes. Plug it back in and insert a video cassette. If it powers up and the display turns on, VCR should be OK. The unit may be reset to factory default and the remote might be set to different code. The remote can be reset to factory setting by removing the battery for a few minutes.
