Re: Unable to clean. What is the matter?

This is because of 2 reasons:
1# the ink absorber (waistinktank) is fed up
2# the purge station could be defective.

I guess you have used generic ink and run the manual cleaning process several times. In that case you need a new ink absorber which you can buy from a service partner near you (see brother homepage for that).

Brother MFC790cw shows on LCD "unable to change

Here's the online (english) version of your Brother "Multi-Function Center" Users Manual:

The closest thing to your error message I can find is
"Unable to Clean XX" on page 156, in which case, your All-in-1 has either a (1) mechanical problem, or (2) a staple/paper clip or torn bit of paper is stuck in the machine.

Use a flashlight to look really closely for little foreign matter that
might be jamming your device - office staples can be insidious.

Unable to Print 50, not fixed

The 50 series errors have to do with the cleaning station on the right, any paper or foreign matter will stop them from functioning, also a mickey mouse spring loaded gear that likes to stick and give you that error.

Printer message: Unable to Print

5A means that the purge cam stopps abnormally when it is in use. This could be of a broken cam shaft. You have to replace the whole purge unit. This is a service job to do!
