Question about Janome Memory Craft 9000 Computerized Sewing Machine

Janome 9000 My Janome 9000 just shut off. I was sewing and all was well, then all of a sudden it just turned itself off and will not turn on... not even the light. My husband thinks it is probably a fuse, but we are unable to get the side off to find where the fuse may be.

My 9000 also just shut off in the middle of sewing - no light even.  Will try to open bottom and replace fuse.

Yes, I had the same problem and took it to Quality Sewing in Rochester, MN for repair and a fuse was replaced.

Problem since fuse was replaced, connected or not--? Once the machine warms up, a substance appearing like clear glue runs and runs out from behind the Janome label about center right side of machine. It is very sticky and just got on my newly sewn jacket sleeve and so far does not come off. What could be causing more and more of this sticky clear fluid to run out.

My machine just turned off as well. I will try to replace fuses. I too have had the sticky fluid running out from behind the Janome emblem. Any idea what it is?? Or where it is coming from??

first there is a rod inside the plate, how do i remove the rod so i can remove the black box

Not enough information....once removing the baseplate, i found a rod across that deleted the option of removing the black box, so i took the machine off its base, different than flipping over the machine and removing the base plate....then there are 2 screws(hard to reach) on the cover of the black box lid, you need aq bent phillips to get the screws out, then after removing the lid to the black box there is the back of a circuit board, so you need to take out the 2 screws there but all i could see was the fact that it was a circuit board, I could not see fuses, so now i am putting everything back together and other than being frustrated I have accomplished nothing, so is there a fuse on the back of the small circuit board inside the black box, or another black box or.................???

On the bottom of the machine is the base plate, remove it. You will see a black box (the transformer) that needs to be dismantled. Once inside you will see 2 fuses, one will be blown.
Replace the blown fuse, do not remove both fuses at the same time and get them confused.I bought replacements at Radio Shack. Good Luck

My janome 9000 screen is blank and wont turn on. It worked before I traveled by car with it any suggestions?

I'm so sorry but with the screens it needs a professional I know you want to repair it by yourself but you could actually cause more problems. You need a Janome dealer or a dealer that specializes in screens.

Machine died

More than likely this is a fuse problem. This should go to a Janome Dealer or someone who is familiar with Janome/New Home Machines. The fuse is located in a box underneath the bottom of the machine.

Problems with the memory card

HI Have you contacted either the dealer you bought the machine from or Janome directly? There is a Janome group on the internet at Yahoogroups...maybe someone there would have the answer? I've been told that the owner of Janome monitors the group--that is WOW for an international company to pay attention to the customers! Good luck, pat

Janome 9000 willl not work when turned on

My Janome 9000 has always done that. I can prevent it by raising the needle when I first start the machine, getting it to sew quickly or raising the needle and letting the machine sit for a few minutes. I think my computer wants to warm up a minute. As you can see I.m not a technical person but it works for me.
