The store told me I would have to contact you as they have no cars left and I can't find the battery to buy. Please help me with a battery for the car, it's not much fun to have a remote control car that doesn't work. The charger was in the box still, I suspect someone stole the battery out of it.Please help!!!!!!

Re: Missing parts

I'm sorry to hear of your problem concerning the missing battery for your grandson's remote control car. You have posted your problem on Fixya which is a technical support community website with the objective of helping people find the solutions and information they're looking for as quickly and as easily as possible. It is not affiliated with any specific retailer or manufacturer.

Nonetheless, please check the manual that came with the toy car and determine if the batteries are really included as part of the package. There should be a list somewhere listing what's supposed to be inside.

If it is really part of the package, then the store where you bought it from should take care of it, if not ask for a replacement unit. Pls bring any documentations that can help you support your claim such as a receipt or proof of purchase.

Alternately, you can try stores who specializes in remote control toys. They should have replacement batteries of various models and sizes. Additionally, (and I'm guessing) you can try ordinary batteries for one time use or Nicads if you want it rechargeable. Perhaps if you can post back with brand/model and picture of the remote control car showing where the battery should be placed would help us get more information that we might be able to help you better.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back as requested.

Good luck and kind regards.

Happy Holidays!

I need to remove front cover of cls1410.I removed four screws under battery. It still seeems to be secure towards top of unit.Screws somewhere I am missing?

Yes, where the carry holder attaches to the radio. Pry the small plastic out and I am pretty sure there is another screw. I cannibalize a lot of these for parts because M will not sell parts. It is not designed for repair and can be hard.

In my Motorola t6320 Talkabout, some of the battery connectors have corroded and broken off. Can the be replaced?

The battery contacts are the part you are describing as missing or corrosion damaged. These parts are not available from Motorola for replacement in this radio. Your best solution is to replace the radio. Sorry.

Best regards.

We have a number of Motorola XTN446 two way radios. One of them seems to have lost some of its range. It is fully charged and can be heard from short distances. Can you help.

1) Check your frequency and code. It is possible someone has changed the frequency to an adjacent frequency and they are communicating only due to being in a close proximity. Here is a link to the user guide:

2) Check your battery. A old or defective battery can exibit this type of problem. Trade the battery with a known good radio and see if the problem still exists, or moves to the other radio.

3) Check your antennas for damage or missing end caps. A bad antenna can cause this type of issue, even if simply by getting corrosion on the coils from a missing cap.

4) If all the above check out fine, your radio is in need of repair. Flat rate repair on this style unit is currently around $69.

Best regards.

L have a Bolens 12 Hp ride on mower purchased new 1992 l have not used the mower for the last 7 years due to update to a larger mower.L'd like to have the bolens as a spare mower. What is missing from my...

Bolens is now owned by MTD. Find parts for your machine at or your local MTD/Bolens dealer

The bigger challenge you will have is getting the engine running again unless you have maintained it the past 7 years. My free advice is get the motor running and make sure the tractor still functions before you start adding accessories. Once you have driven it around the block once or twice, then get the parts you need to operate the deck. I think these parts will be a little pricy.

I say these things because of a similar experience with a International Cub I got. I spent a lot of money to get the mower running before I got the tractor running, reliably. I didnt get my fair value from my $ as a result. I then bought a geenuine Troy and have never looked back. (MTD owns the Troy brand now also.)

Good luck with your project

Does columbia telecommunications group, inc have a website and if so what is it?

The last known contact information for Columbia Telecom is as follows:

Headquarters Location
174 Milbar Blvd., Farmingdale, NY 11735, United States

The bad news is, the company itself doesn't seem to exist anymore, other than bad consumer reviews and issues with company practices. The website is no longer valid either.

My Yaseu FT-50R doesn't stay on. I have to remove

Darned resistive silicone contacts! This link will help you: There are kits available that "rebuild" the carbon conductive layer, should cleaning not help. It's like (car) rear defogger repair kit material. I haven't had long term success with the two part repair kits, myself. I didn't read the link myself, but cleaning with alcohol often works. If not, try acetone. If that doesn't work, a conductive kit or sticky aluminum tape may help. If cleaning doesn't work, and replacement is available from Yaesu, order it! Darned these silicone contact pads! Same pads as most remote controls.

Memory program ch no# on icom u or h16

I had the same problem. I solved it by going into program mode, then while holding down the function key, input one of the missing channel numbers. The channel should appear but is flashing. Now input a frequency for the channel and exit program mode. Repeat the sequence for the other missing channels. This procedure worked for me. Good luck.

Hello Krisso,

Your best bet is likely going to be contacting Motorola directly. Their parts department may have the charger available. Their product support number is 1-800-353-2729.
