hi i have xp prof. problem the update kb953297 won't install. gives no error. have uninstalled all network frame versions and reinstall them from 1 to 3.5 Stil after this no instalation succeed

You should be able to get free support from Microsoft for this update error. Please see here and here. Also see this discussion of a similar complaint. The reply by PABear (who is an expert & MS MVP) is worth some attention. You may need this tool.

This means there is a registry error you need to restore the computer and then try to redownload the drivers or patches
That should shore this up for you as it did more then 30 percent of my clients that I work with.
