To check and make sure that the sound is on, make sure All appears in the upper right hand corner so you can see all of the icons, then on the Palm home page go to the Prefs Icon.

Click on the Sounds & Alerts.

Make sure Custom is highlighted and that all of the sounds have something listed other than Off.

I have a Tungsten E2 and I receive a message that my Handheld is only compatible up to Microsot Outlook 2002 and I have Microsot Outlook 2007. Do you have a patch or update for this?

there is no patch or update for this. You will have to get Microsoft Outlook 2002 because Microsoft Outlook 2007 cannot work with your Tungsten E2

The Tungsten E2 has been programmed by the manufacturer. It is only when you go for a higher Tungsten Hand-held, that you will be able to use Microsoft Outlook 2007.

Take care.

I have 5 palms tungsten c that are not charging when put on the charging cradle

Suggest you have the charging cradle checked out to see if it is supplying a charge to the phones. It doesn't sound like it is the phones, if my assumption is that you have tried five of them.

I purchased a used Palm it works fine but I have no sound for calendar alerts. I can't even play the alerts to see which one I want. Can this be fixed.

If you plug in headphones, do you have sound in them?
If so, then the problem is either the built-in speaker or the headphone jack.
If it's the speaker, then you're in for a pretty involved fix involving soldering little tiny wires. Do-able, but not for someone just learning how to use a soldering iron.

If it's the jack, then you might get lucky and fix it by inserting and then removing your headphone's plug.

I've had this style of jack get a bit of dust in it before, and basically think headphones are plugged in even when they're not.

Let me know if you've got sound in headphones, and we can take it from there.

Speaker problem

you wont, it will sense off of the jack as to which output method to use. If the jack is bad and the device cannot communicate with it, it will remain in its current state.

Annoying high pitch noise coming from devise

I believe that this has involves the processor, and maybe the refresh rate (or the T E2's equivalent) being faster than the screen would like.

Sorry for the personification there (I want to sound smart.)

My palm makes a constant high pitched sound when it is powered on

Is your speaker making this high pitched sound or is it something else. If it's "something else" then there is no problem to worry about. It's just an audible frequency given off from the touch screen.

I have also had the same problem, and I discovered that it may be caused by a little sensor in the headphone jack which enables the external speaker. Sometimes it gets stuck in the "off" position. Try plugging in and removing the headphones, that should solve the problem.
