I cannot connect to a wireless router.

in the lower r/hand corner of the task monitor there should an icon that shows two little computers. By simply putting the mouse pointer on it, the status of your connection will be shown, Right clicking on the mouse over the icon should give you a couple of options like "connect to a network" or "show network connections" or "diagnose and repair" try connect 1st, if ithat doesn't work try repair.

yes it has to do with windows driver because it update itself online when there is internet connection and it may have upgrade to new version
