Re: cant access my external

It sounds like the drive failed on you - Are you saying you MOVED your data to the drive and you no longer have the original data? Thats the point of these drives is become a backup of your data. Always have 2 copies of your files.

You may have some luck with data recovery software if needed though -

This one's Free:

The next tool has a free image recovery and might be worth buying if it can can images it can get everything else.

Hello I just connected an external SONY memory to my computer there were many shortcuts which the owner said he does not need them and can be deleted. since after two days I connect my external WD 500GB...

first thing; do a Windows "System Restore" Immediately. When doing "System restore" choose a "Restore Point" (date) just prior to the date you installed the WD 500GB.
Next, before connecting the external hard disk again,go to the Western Digital website and download all of the drivers and software for the hard disk, and then install it using those drivers and software.

Internet explorer http internal server error 500 help gave it a day still cant get online!!!

Error 500 to 504 are usually nothing to do with your system, they are errors created by the server you are trying to connect to.

A server (not necessarily a Web server) is acting as a gateway or proxy to fulfil the request by the client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) to access the requested URL. This server did not receive a timely response from an upstream server it accessed to deal with your HTTP request.

I reinstalled my windows xp and now when i connect my external hdd it dont show the volume and i need my applications and backup software thats on it i have a portable samsung g2 500 gig

hopefully if you go to device manager go to the top of the box and hover your mouse over the icons on the top
one of them should say scan for new devices

that may or may not recognize it

then leaving the external hdd plugged in restart the laptop

and hopefully windows will then recolonize it

hope this works for you

Losing 1 gig per day

There could be a number of reasons for losing 1 Gb of downloads each day.
If you are viewing or downloading movie, video or YTube, these are usually large files, movies are Gb in size.
If your e-mail have video or audio attachments, these can be Mb size files.
If you have a wireless Internet connection and if it is not secured properly, someone could be accessing your Internet without your knowledge and using up your download allocation.
Is someone else using your computer, do you know if they are accessing the Internet, chat room, blogs, etc.

It could be the memory. Try swapping / reseating them.

BSODS are always fun to diagnose.

When you get it you should receive an 0x000000 etc.

Can you check which one you're receiving?
